My copy of this tape is marked as 1977 but I think it may be 1978 or 79. A bit short at just under 40 minutes but it's a great early example of Shaka in session. Highlights include Shaka working the echo and syndrum over the storming dub of Johnny Clarke's 'Bad days is going' and likewise over the killer dub plate mix of Albert Malawi & Brigadier Jerry's 'Children of the Emperor'

Thanks once again to Daddy Ruffhouse for this killer session. From the start the selection is top drawer, opening with 'Jah is my light by' Al Campbell & going on to play tunes like, 'Noah's Ark' by Eek A Mouse and the killer 'Rocking of the 5000' by Badoo & Toyan. Classic Shaka from the early 80's. Plenty of Shaka working the set & FX on this one.......

This one come courtesy of our good friend Ruffhouse and is a real killer. Both sounds on tape. Have cleaned it up and it's sounding pretty nice..

Another great early 80's session this time from Phebe's in Dalston where Shaka had a Friday night residency for a long time. Nice Warrior style selection with Shaka in top form.

Another from the Zulu Warrior in session at Phebe's courtesy of Ruffhouse that I have cleaned up. Tracks like, 'Can't pop no style', 'Blood dunza', Jahovia' and the monstrous 'Warning' by Desi Roots are the order of the day, Shaka announces "A pure warrior style 'till daylight' before launching into a next cut of 'Warning'

Another mammoth session, this time in 4 parts; 6 hours in total.
This session was billed as the return of Jah Shaka and also had the Twinkle Brothers performing on stage. You can hear them sound-checking at some points while Shaka is rocking the place.. The Twinkle Brothers stage show is not on these tapes; it's just 6 hours of the Zulu Warrior doing what he does best...

I cant remember who this originally came from.
This one's done the rounds a bit, but I have now edited it into 2 parts and done a bit of work on it. It's a great session and four hours long.
Jah Shaka Finsbury Park 1-12-85
This is a killer session in 3 parts; 4 hours in total. Lots of heavyweight classics are spun. I've worked hard on this to make the sound quality as good as I can get it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have over the years.
JJah Shaka meets Jahrevelation Moonshot Club, New Cross 1986
Massive thanks goes out to our old friend Humble for this great recording he made of this dance held at the Moonshot Club. At the start Shaka is trying to play 'Paro them Paro' but one of the Revelation DJ's starts talking and making noises over the top of it, there then follows a bit of an argument between the two sounds, indeed Shaka does have a point in the fact that Revelation are meant to represent the 12 Tribes of Israel in the UK so behaviour like this from their mic men shoukd not really happen. A really nice session, full of vibes and it runs for 3 hours..... Great stuff...

Slightly different session this as it catches Jah Shaka along with his backing band inna stage show stylee at the Subterania.
A great show they put on too, with Shaka running through classic after classic. We also get an impromptu performance from the Mighty Norman Grant who jumps up on stage to belt out the Twinkle's fantastic, 'Them never get burn'
